'Life isn't about existing. It's about living.' Under this motto, HOG Benelux and Harley-Davidson® will compete against breast cancer for six months.
Harley Owners Group (HOG) Benelux chooses a good cause every year to work for. This year the choice fell on the fight against breast cancer. The choice for Harley-Davidson Ghent as the flagship for the campaigns was an obvious one, since business manager Ann Vandewoude is the only female Harley-Davidson® dealer in Europe and she is also fully committed to the fight against breast cancer. "When you commit to a cause, you have to do it 100%, with all your heart," she says. That she is 100% committed is immediately apparent when you step into the store. The pink stage, full of clothes and accessories in pink, immediately catches the eye, especially the motorcycle completely dressed in pink.
What can you do to support Pink Ribbon? The Harley-Davidson® Pink Label clothing collection is displayed on stage. By buying something from this collection, you support the fight against breast cancer: 10% of the turnover of Harley-Davidson Ghent is donated entirely to Pink Ribbon.In addition, you can contribute by buying the pins and patches specially made for Pink Ribbon for €5 at the cash register.Come to the Pink Garageparty on Saturday 25 November During the Christmas event on December 16, Harley-Davidson will award Pink Ribbon a large pink check with the money they have collected.
What do the couples who are or have fought against breast cancer think about it?
On September 2, ten couples who are or have waged the fight against cancer, together with HOG Benelux and Pink Ribbon, came to Harley-Davidson Gent, where they rode on the back of the motorcycle with some members of our motorcycle club Ghent Chapter. For most it was a first experience on a motorcycle, a day when life is not about surviving, but about experiencing. About freedom, passion and adventure on the motorcycle. The response was overwhelmingly heartwarming.'It was a great experience . Thanks again for this beautiful ride.
